Knit does not upload your contacts. Contact comparison happens on your device.

We do not collect or receive:
Knit does not create an account and does not require sign-in.
Knit reads your iPhone Contacts to find likely duplicates. The comparison runs on your device.
When you choose to merge two contacts, Knit updates your iPhone Contacts through the iOS contacts system. Knit does not upload your contacts, send them to a server, or store them in a cloud database.
When you delete a contact in Knit, Knit removes that contact from your iPhone Contacts through the iOS contacts system. Deleted contacts are not stored by Knit and cannot be restored from Knit.
Knit stores a small amount of local undo data on your device after a merge. This lets you undo a merge before you run a new scan.
This undo data stays on your device. It is not sent to us. It is cleared when you run a new scan or remove the app.
Contact deletions do not have undo data.
Knit does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Knit is a paid download from the App Store. Payment is processed by Apple. We do not see or store your payment information. Please refer to Apple's privacy policy for details on how Apple handles App Store payments.
Knit does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any registration information. You download the app and use it immediately. No email. No password. No user profile.
Knit needs full contacts access to scan your address book for duplicates. With limited access, iOS only shows Knit the contacts you explicitly shared, so duplicates involving anyone outside that set will not be found.
You can revoke access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Contacts → Knit. Revoking access takes effect immediately.
Knit does not collect personal information from any user. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If this policy changes, the Last Updated date will reflect the revision.
